There is a diamond, a

There is a diamond, a big, beautiful multifaceted treasure that is waiting for us in martial arts.

But it is encrusted in dung.

If you want the diamond, you have to reach for it where it is, smack in the middle of that smelly stuff.

Your treasure is in the hands of your instructors, whose job it is to make you confront yourself, your inadequacies, fears, and submerged secrets.

You can blame them all you want for your woes, but that won?t help you at all.

Like any movie hero, such as Indiana Jones, you have to go through some scary, slithery, serpanty stuff before you emerge with the jewels or the Holy Grail, or whatever you?re seeking.

Once you commit to doing whatever it takes, the task becomes easier, but never really easy.

After all, we don?t respect treasures that are simply handed to us, do we?

I don?t want to

I don?t want to help a job searcher who has their resume plastered all over the Internet. It?s hard these days to find employers who don?t have access to the most popular job websites. Many employers won?t let recruiters send them resumes of candidates who have their resume placed on job boards that the employers have access to since the employer can search the database and find such candidates themselves.

2. I don?t mind helping a job searcher who is already looking for another job but when they have applied to dozens if not hundreds of companies and haven?t found a new job yet, I start to wonder why? Plus it makes it harder for the recruiter to find good opportunities for you if you?ve already applied to numerous companies.

3. I think there

is

something to be said about finding a passive candidate who isn?t actively looking for a new job and who is currently and happily working.

Ask to be taken off

Ask to be taken off junk mail lists by writing to DMA, Mail Preference Service, P.O. Box 643, Carmel, NY 10512. Or call them at 212-768-7277.

9. Create extra hidden spaces under tables in any room with table skirts. Keep bathroom accessories behind a skirted sink; store stuff under your bed in rolling containers with a dust ruffle to hide it all.

10. Organizing is an ongoing process. Once you?ve created a place for everything, try to return each item to its designated spot as soon as you can. We get overwhelmed when things pile up so create time every day to spend a few minutes organizing your papers, your belongings and your thoughts.

By clearing physical clutter you?ll clear the clutter in your mind. Keep your life organized and you will find more energy and clarity in every day.

The V10 is indeed

The V10 is indeed the most demanding engine in technical terms. BMW?s high-speed engine concept allows an optimum gearbox and final drive transmission ratio. The two five-cylinder banks in the V10 are arranged at an angle of 90? in order to optimize the standard of vibration control and motoring comfort offered by full mass compensation on the crank drive. Taking the substantial forces of the combustion process, high engine speeds and vibrations into account, the crankcase comes in bedplate design. The extremely stiff crankshaft, in turn, runs in six bearings.

The engine control unit is ionic current technology serving to detect any tendency of the engine to knock, misfire and suffer mis-combustion. BMW?s seven-speed SMG transmission is precisely the right manual gearbox for conveying the power of the V10 via the drivetrain to the rear wheels.

Ad One represents a common advertising line

Ad One represents a common advertising line seen today. There is no call to action in this line. It hopes you will come to the conclusion that you need to take their pill. Ad Two is not only telling you the same information but also commanding that you take the pill and do so now.

WEAK PURSUASION

Weak persuasion attempts in your ad copy will completely destroy any chance for action you had. Many times ad copy can make calls to action that are too subtle. When this happens, the whole attempt is out the window. Let?s take a peak at a couple examples:

Ad Copy One:

Our new patented technology will assist you in promoting your website to its fullest potential. Order your copy of XYZ today!

Ad Copy Two:

Our new patented technology will assist you in promoting your website to its fullest potential. You?ll wonder how you ever managed without it. Order your copy of XYZ right now!

Ad Copy One, while having a call to action, has a somewhat weak closing. It left the door wide open for the reader to ponder the action, which normally means no closure.

Facility size is

Facility size is also an important factor in salaries. Registered nurse salaries increase with the increase in number and types of hospital beds. Nurses with advanced degrees and clinical nurse specialists earn comparatively higher salaries.

Registered nurse salaries are also different on the basis of the employers, which include regional health authorities, clinics, home care agencies, insurance companies, nursing homes, government firms, and large corporations. In addition to salaries, they get other benefit packages such as group life insurance, flexible work schedules, pension plans, childcare, housing assistance, and college tuition reimbursement. Accidental death and health insurance facilities, semi-private hospitalization, and short and long term disability benefits are also available. Vacation and holiday payments are based on the continuous length of service.

Registered nurses are classified into three: full-time, part-time, and casual. Registered nurse salaries are varied in each category. Full-time registered nurses receive full benefit programs; part-time and casual nurses get equal vacation pay as a percentage of their salary. Most registered nurses receive shift premiums also.

Thoughts of depression, negative thoughts, thoughts

Thoughts of depression, negative thoughts, thoughts of
fear etc constantly creep into our minds and cause us to act in certain ways
that are going to produce the antithesis of the kind we want that will
produce success.

So what can we do to win the battle with thoughts? Here are a few main
points. Apply these immediately and then constantly and you will be on your
way to winning the thought battle.

Guard your mind. Pretend that behind that forehead of yours is a very
precious thing ? your mind ? because it is precious. If you had a storehouse
of gold in your house, you would hire an armed guard to stand watch and keep
all the bad guys out. Yet, many of us let any old ting come into our minds.
We need to keep the bad thoughts, the negative thoughts O-U-T! Now when I
say this, I mean both the ones that start in our heads and the ones that
come from external sources.

Proactively place good thoughts in your head. Just like a garden, where you
weed, or pull the bad stuff out, and plant, put the good stuff in, so we do
the same thing with our thoughts.

The company decided to hire someone who

The company decided to hire someone who was referred to them.

3. The company decided not to hire anyone ie. they put the job on hold, they didn?t find the ?right? person, etc.

4. The hiring manager hired a friend, family member or former colleague. Maybe they were told who to hire by their superiors. Favoritism happens. Nepotism, too!

5. If you were presented to the company through a recruiter, they may have decided to hire someone who

didn?t

come through a recruiter thus saving the company paying the recruiter a fee (this does happen).

6. The company hired someone cheaper than you. They found someone who was willing to take a lower salary than you. Cost conscious companies might do this.

Sometimes a company will not give you a straight answer as to why they turned you down.

In many cases, you might not even know it and simply accept the reason they gave you as the truth.

The best thing you can do is to try to get as much information from the company as possible regarding why you were turned down.

The more you know, the more you?ll be able to improve upon your success in future interviews.
